Tom Brady has just recently surpassed his childhood idol Joe Montana for most postseason wins. However, Montana has four rings while Brady still has three. You could make the counter argument that Montana had Jerry Rice for most of his career while Brady has been successful with some sub par receivers in his career. In my opinion Montana is #1 and Brady is #2 until he gets his fourth ring.

ReplyDeleteMontana has had 4 1st round playoff 1 and dones including back to back to back '85-87 and in his last season of '94. Brady has just 2 playoff 1 and dones, and 2 Super Bowl losses that could have gone either way vs NYG. I say Brady is better right now also due to where he was drafted compared to Montana (199th '00, Montana 82nd '79), coupled with his superior regular season stats. Add in the fact TB has at least 3 more years to get his 4th ring.
